Latest Stories:
Well, well... We had a tough last week, spent for the most part at the hospital where our little one was kept under close watch. She caught a severe urine infection resulting in high fever which triggered our decision to bring her to the hospital last saturday. After more than 5 hours of checking/waiting/worrying, "they", the doctors & nurses, finally came up with the wonderful news that our Cille would need to stay in this white jail for at least 5 days. Which also meant that at least one of us, parents, would hold her hands and, as a consequence, got stuck as well.
Unfortunately that could not happen at a worse moment (like if there was a right moment...). Bjoern was about to start his first big assignement as a consultant for Humm& Partner in Munich, where he was scheduled to fly to on Monday and work there until Thursday. Agnes was in the middle of the launch phase of 24 new rebranded portals for physicians, www.univadis.com , due to launch on July 1st... No relatives near Brussels. A poor baby with a high 40+ C fever that desperately needed her 2 parents... a nightmare? Sort of... though we found our savior: Petra ! Who came without an hesitation from far away Kassel, Germany to keep our little one at the hospital during the day. While The A took the night shifts until thursday and The B took over the last 2 days. None of us had a lot of sleep this last week. But Cille fought well and got out of it, back home and to a normal rythm.
Did I tell you that Bjoern received his MBA diploma? Yes indeed! Mister Bjoern Schliebitz became a full-fledge MBA graduate on Jume 24th. He wore the black cape and the academican hat and was given his well deserved trophey with many clapping hands (the A clapping for ten :-))! ALso he's working on two entrepreneurial projects as well as consulting (see above), a great opportunity that The B could not miss even if it meant numerous travels to Munich, leaving his little family behind, and also stalling a bit some of his other endeavors.
Did I tell you about that conference where Agnes spoke in front of a handful of executives? She gave a presentation about outsourcing, showing a case of offshoring Web development services in India, together with Sajeev, a www.tatainfotech.com representative. Tata is shouldering Merck as an outsourcing partner with whom Agnes works closely on the univadis project.
These last 2 events happened right before Cille's hospitalization. Just to add on to the intensity of the last weeks...
Oh and last but not the least, Theandb is now ... limited !!! Yeah we opened Theandb ltd, officially a company in UK which allows us to provide our services to the world under our own brand!
Hey, if you stayed that long with us you really are friends and I must stay we certainly miss you...
By the way , we are travelling to Seattle from August 30 to September 10 ! We can't miss Gille & Daria's wedding for one, but also we'd love to meet those of you who live in that corner of the planet ! So if you're around at that time you'll got to meet us and our Cille!
Peace and farewell to all of you,
TheAndB plus Cille
