Most wanted movies

Now this entry is a bit out of the ordinary. I've been wondering how to keep track of movies that Agnes and I would like to see and realized that maybe the best option - other than saving links with some special tag on del.icio.us - might be to post a most wanted list on our site.

If anyone knows of the movies we refer to, please do let us know your opinion on them. We might as well save some of our precious time and say No to the really crappy ones.

[Update 11.07.2006]: Added "US vs. John Lennon" to our most-wanted list of movies. We saw Superman Returns recently and frankly loved it. No flaws, the perfect actor as Clark, re-ignites that original feeling of the Superman series.

[Update 20/10/2006: Haven't updated this for a while. Too many movies that we saw to name them all. Except for Little Miss Sunshine. This is a must see for the whole family! Heck, let's simply redo the Top 10 list.]

[Update 03/05/2006: We saw at least one of them. Thank you Gilles and Rabah for your encouragement to see V, it's an excellent movie and I hope it might help to stir things up in the states.]

[Update 22/03/2006: As neither Da Vinci Code nor X-Men III was yet out and we really didn't want to see yet another Mission Impossible, we decided to see Inside Man. What a great surprise is all i can say. Wonderful twists and fantastic cuts thanks to Spike Lee. Go see it.]

So here you go:

  1. Renaissance
  2. Happy Feet
  3. V for Vandetta (saw it, loved it)
  4. The Da Vinci Code (better we would have stayed with the book)
  5. X-Men III (wonderful sequel; makes you want to see X-Men IV)
  6. A Scanner Darkly
  7. The US vs. John Lennon
  8. The Promise
  9. Find Me Guilty
  10. The Pirate Caribean... ah whatever the title
  11. American Dreamz
This is a little test into whether or not this blog can also serve as a backup for our whiteboard in the kitchen.

All the Best,
Bjoern

Hey Guyzzz,

I enjoyed V for Vandetta ... it's very dark, powerful and politically loaded. Strange for a marvel comics actually.

So you might want to check this one out.

Moi aussi j'ai aimé V For Vendetta ...
X-Men et Da Vinci seront aussi top délire :)

Just saw "A Scanner Darkly" last Friday - I thought it was awesome, but some people hated it. It's weird and confusing in that familiar Philip K. Dick way, and there's more talk than action, but the ending ties things together really well and the acting is solid.

Oh, and I have to recommend Banlieu 13 (District B-13 here in the US). Great action movie without unnecessary frills. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10005823-district_b13/
