Winter activities in sydney

" Damn cold mate! "
Right.
A little cool it is.
You do need to wear socks and a jumper, and put up the heaters in your (beach) house.
At times it even rains cats and dogs (yeah, "good for nature" they say); so hard that you truly wonder whether Armageddon is upon us.
It's winter afterall ! What do you expect mate ? ! We - coming from Europe, places like Belgium or Paris or Berlin - can tell the difference and smile inside...
As we barely pass a day without at least a few rays of sun kissing our cheeks. Temperatures reaching their lovely 20ties. An immense , cristal clear, blue sky, steel blue just as blue as it can be ! You wanna be a painter! You wanna dive upward!
And how's life?
Good mate, good.
We didn't slow down our pace one iota :-)
There is plenty to do. Although we are far from having started any serious exploration of this continent.
So what have we been up to these last 2 months? You mean, beside working our souls off?

A few things...

relax max Visiting zoos, observing wild life

The Taronga zoo and other animal reserves. We stood in awe, observing an outrageously relaxed kangaroo, a "relax max", a dude from the land ! Perhaps we could learn from a master?

We slowly but surely grow our knowledge of the local fauna: kangaroo, wallaby, koala , cassowary , kookabura, cockatoos, crocodiles, emu, platypus, wombat, etc.

Going to the beach remains a major activity :-) Whenever the sun shows up and temperatures rise above 18C ... we head down to a beach, eventually boogie-board and often end-up with some more or less minor injuries. Riding the waves really is an extreme sport . We even boogie-board once with Tillman , our intern, at a lunch break :)

Visiting friends down south of Sydney. We stayed over night at Rob and Sibylle 's lovely house. Cille enjoyed their 2 dogs and nearly convinced us to hide them in our trunk:-)

Hiking in National Parks remains a delightful experience. We found ourselves facing most stunning panorama in Ku-Ring-Ai once again, at Jerusalem bay.

Day dreaming at the beach. Petite Cille fully immersed in her princess kingdom
While mama exercises her artist side and papa waits for the waves

Exploring sacred places,  such as a South India hindu temple where we merged with the flow of worshippers of the many Hindu gods and buddas.

And hibernating

All the pictures to be discovered in our latest album

As a final note, and also to present our latest movie production, we'd like to thanks Courage for the mysterious package from Disneyland . Cille enjoys it tremendously! A and B a little less... getting tired of the princesses ;-)
Nonetheless and on behalf of our happy daughter we warmly hug you and thank you (and miss you !)

Kisses from The A&B&C
