Day 3 - the 31th of December
What do you generally do the 31th of December ?
Let's list some valid answers :
- You go to the Carrouf' to buy the last goods for your New Year Eve dinner
- You are the only person in the office because you are the only on-call person ?
- You are upset because you can fit in your dress ( you ate too much at the Christmas dinner )
- You are swimming in Warriewood beach ?
We choose the last option .....
But the main activity after we lunched a wonderfull warm salad on Dee Why beach was to dress up ourselves for the New Year Party with the neighbor as you can see with Olivier.
The parties were nice and full of Champagne. The fireworks of Sydney harbor was just amazing not like the one of Mainly . And to be in 2007 10 hours before Europe is quite weird feeling.
Happy New Year 2007 to all of you that read this blog.
Sincerely,
Pascale

day 2 - Where is Nemo ?
I am sure you asked yourself where is Nemo ? Dorry and bubble where were not so far away.
We find it today at the Sydney Aquarium !
But the sharks is not far away from Nemo !!!
The Seal had fun too !
And we met Seahorses !!!
And what about us ? Like every tourist abroad : we need to check the road :
Sydney looked to me as Seattle and Vancouver. Such a sweet balance between the skylines of Sydney and the nature with the huge harbour and the national parks around. It requires additional investigation but for the moment Australia looks an very interesting place to live.
We are sleeping to Laurence and Tran place. They are very very nice and warm chap. They have two crazy dogs that loved to jump on our bed early in the morning, just when the cigales start to "sing".
I hope we will sleep well tonight to be ready for the New Year Eve party.
We are planning to see the fire works qt Sydney, we will see... Ciao !

Australia ? Because you worth it
Bon okay, this van looks really like the magical mystery tour ( quite proud to see I am an engine, such a symbol ) bu I think we should call it the Familial Mystery Tour !!!!!! I don't know if you are aware but the only live video ever made by ABBA was is in Australia ( Another symbol ) So today we are not talking of The Beatles or ABBA, we are talking about the story of 2 froggies that join the familial mystery tour ! So Day 1, we survived 28 hours of travel, landing at Sydney this morning. Walk in the bush, swim into the ocean, pique nique near the lake. The main goal is to keep the eyes open until tonight. I blog, Olivier is playing the "teddy monster" with Cille while I "ketchup". Sylviane is making the tea and the storm is very noisy outside. Please wish us a good night. NARRABEEN (NSW) 18TH-19TH DECEMBER 2006
Agnes drove me to her home, where Bjorn was waiting for us, because they have to go for an important meeting. They left me, I took a good shower, settled my things and relaxed. I feeled exhausted, it is probably the combination of cold, bronchite and jetlag, I decided to sleep. At about 1:00 pm, A&B awaked me to have a meal, and after I slept again. At about 5:00 pm Agnes and I went to take Cille at school, what a beautiful little girl, she speaks quite well too.Posted by theandb at 11:09 PM | Comments (0)
MY JOURNEY FROM PARIS TO SYDNEY 16TH -18TH DECEMBER 2006
DEPARTURE FROM ROISSY 2 HOURS LATE ON SATURDAY 16TH... DURING I WAS WAITING FOR MY TURN TO BE REGISTERED I TALK TO PEOPLE WAITING LIKE ME... IT'S OFTEN INTERESTING AND THE TIME IS GOING MORE QUICKLY LIKE THAT. AT LAST WE ARE TAKING OFF, FOR A LONG FLIGHT. CATHAY PACIFIC FEED US MANY TIMES AND THE CREW IS REALLY NICE AND HELPFUL. ON SUNDAY MORNING WE ARRIVED IN HONG-KONG AT ABOUT 7:40 AM, AS MY FLIGHT FOR SYDNEY IS AT 19:00 PM, I DECIDED TO SEE MORE THAN THE AIRPORT AREA, I TOOK THE AIRPORT EXPRESS TO KOWLOON STATION, AND THERE AS I WAS LOOKING FOR EXIT, I MET A GIRL, I SAW PREVIOUSLY IN THE PLANE, AND WE DECIDED JACKIE (THE GIRL'S NAME) AND I, TO VISIT SOME PLACE IN HONG-KONG. SO WE WENT OUT OF THE STATION AND LOOKED FOR OUR WAY TO WONG TAI SIN, WHERE IS LOCATED A TEMPLE WE WANT TO VISIT. PEOPLE WE ASKED FOR FIND OUR WAY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND LEAD US TO THE MTR JORDAN STATION. AT LAST WE ARRIVED AT WONG TAI SIN TEMPLE, MANY CHINESE PEOPLE WERE THERE , PRAYING AND OFFERING WORSHIPING PRESENTS, WE WERE SURROUNDED BY HUGE BUILDINGS AND YET YOU FIND QUIETNESS AND PEACE IN THIS PLACE. ONE HOUR LATER WE WANTED TO HAVE LUNCH, WE TOOK BACK THE MTR AND HAD A LUNCH IN A PLACE JUST OUTSIDE PRINCE EDWARD STATION, AFTER A WALK IN THE STREETS, WE WERE TIRED AND WANTED TO REST, WE WENT TO A MASSAGE PLACE AND SPENT THERE TWO HOURS VERY RELAXING AFTER WE GET BACK TO THE AIRPORT. JACKIE WAS TAKING A FLIGHT TO MELBOURNE FOR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS AND I FOR SYDNEY, SO WE WISH EACH OTHER GOOD LUCK, AFTER THIS GOOD DAY. ONE MORE NIGHT IN A PLANE AND I ARRIVED AT SYDNEY IN TIME, AS AGNES WAS'NT IN TIME, I CHANGED SOME MONEY AND PHONED TO INQUIRE ABOUT IT, JUST AFTER MY CALL SHE WAS THERE, I FEEL RELAXED AND HAPPY, EVEN IF AM STILL COUGHING BADLY AND VERY TIRED.

Jingle Bells the Aussie way !
Jingle bells the Aussie version
Dashing through the bush
In a rusty Holden Ute
Kicking up the dust
Esky in the boot
Kelpie by my side
Singing Christmas songs
It's summer time and I am in
My singlets, shorts & thongs
CHORUS:
OH, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way,
Christmas in Australia,
On a scorching Summers' day... Hey!!
OH, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Christmas time is beaut!
Oh what fun it is
to ride in a Rusty Holden Ute!
Engine's getting hot
Dodge the Kangaroos
Swaggy climbs aboard
He is welcome too
All the family's there
Sitting by the pool
Christmas day, the Aussie way
By the barbecue !
CHORUS
Come the afternoon
Grandpa has a doze
The kids and uncle Bruce
Are swimming in their clothes
The time comes round to go
We take a family snap
Then pack and all shoot through
Before the washing up
CHORUS

Sorry for such a shamefully long silence ...
We did put up 3
more albums in our photo gallery but never managed to write an entry... You might
have already seen them if you paid our site a visit since October 2006:
- Blue Mountain escape, winter weekends, august 2006
- From Winter to Spring, Sept-Oct 2006
- Ladies only ! Diving in Jervis Bay, Oct 2006
Some highlights:
- Till left Australia in October... sniff ! So long mate ! here you can see him in action ... as a cook :-) And here you can have an insight into his daily diet (!). He also documented his passage in Australia quite thoroughly on his blog. It was great to work with him and we continue to be in touch for the transLucid project, our web publishing system.
- Sybille & Rob visited us in september . Some pics from Ruby the dog, enslaved by Cille , stuck on a pillow (and liking it ;-)
- We got to know Vincent, Kate and their 2 daughters Anais and Cleo. We met them the first time at the Eurofest, a village fair like atmosphere with an interesting cultural mix (Danish , Scottish, German, Austrian performers and a parade ending with the aussie National Hymn) . Cille loved to play and just be around with Anais . We ended up at their place drinking champagne.
- Pink escape for the girls ! Thanks to Sybille who organized it all for us, a bunch of females (Christine , Sybille and Agnes ) drove down to Jervis Bay to participate to a "girls only diving event" setup by deep6diving for charity purpose for The Breast Cancer foundation.
- A great weekend (w/o Cille!!) to explore the Hunter Valley wineries with Laurence and Trang, our friends and neighbors
We are now enjoying the presence of agnes' mother , sylviane , for christmas and NYE. And will soon welcome Olivier and Pascale to join the party.
We'll set up an holiday blog soon as we plan to go for a road trip to Queensland with camper vans and all !!!
Merry Christmas to all of you , plenty of kisses and stay tuned !
Peace, love and much more !
