Victoria fire, a re-cap of events
This morning i read an article in 'The Australian' that i thought to share entitled '
How the battle with Victoria's bushfires was fought and lost'. I really appreciate the work of these journalists in creating a re-cap of events that led us into these disastrous events. Living without a TV is i believe even more a good thing these days that normally as it is all too easy to become too glued to other peoples horrors which I really wouldn't want to do. Having the ability to read and understand better how such devastating fires were created and going through what it must have felt like to be enclosed by them creates i believe a much more lasting impression, at least for myself.
If you can and haven't yet, please donate to the Red Cross' 'Victorian Bushfire Appeal' to support the families that lost everything and will most certainly face an up-hill battle in regaining their lives.
And like so many others in Australia and across the globe i have of course also seen and was greatly moved by some actual positive news. If you haven't yet, please do; there is also the possibility to donate to RSPCA Victoria.
